Our client, who are a recognized transport company, are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton, UK.
As Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with containers and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (1 in 4 Saturdays)
Salary: Up to £40,000
The Role:
- Routing company owned vehicles
- You must plan routes as cost effectively as possible
- Plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
- Ensure all customers are kept up to date
- All necessary admin must be completed
- You will be working with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies' requirements.

- Extensive Transport route planning skills
- Container experience preferred but a planning background with a transport company would be considered
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
