We are recruiting a Telesales Executive to join our Road Freight division and support national growth across the UK. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, customer engagement, and building commercial success in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will focus on generating new business, managing small to medium-sized accounts, and presenting Road Freight solutions - primarily through phone and online interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads for Road Freight services, with a particular focus on SME customers
- Conduct outbound telesales calls to identify, qualify, and convert prospective customers
- Prepare, follow up, and close quotations for Road Freight transport solutions
- Manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and long-term retention
- Develop tailored proposals and deliver virtual presentations showcasing Road Freight capabilities
- Use CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce or similar) to manage leads, opportunities, and sales pipeline activity
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure seamless onboarding and handover of new customers
- Share qualified leads and support wider sales initiatives across the organisation
- Complete weekly reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and performance against KPIs
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company policies, quality standards, and compliance requirements
About You
- Previous experience in telesales, sales, customer service, or inside sales within a freight forwarding setting
- Knowledge of Road Freight operations is desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility over the phone
- Confident, proactive, and comfortable making outbound calls with a hunter mindset
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple leads, priorities, and tasks simultaneously
- Results-driven with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider sales and operations team
