Business Development Manager β Freight β Β£30K β Β£45K β South Business Development Manager required for a Sunday Times top 250, family owned Logistics company that recently celebrated their 250th year. The Freight Forwarder have multiple UK sites β this role will be based from their specialist London Air Cargo facility in Heathrow and will cover the South up to London β Hampshire and Surrey This Business Development Manager role would suit a talented freight sales professional with a solid grounding in Air Freight operations or Air Freight internal sales looking for a step into external sales. All modes of freight considered β Attitude and hunger is everything ! You manage your own diary, day and week ! The Package : Β£30K β 50K Uncapped bonus Car Allowance Mobile phone Medical Insurance Pension scheme β contributory a?er 1 year service. 28 days holiday including bank holidays (increases annually) The Role: To develop and maintain e?ective business relationships with new and existing clients. To undertake presentations for long-term business, produce and present tenders and quotatons for business. To o?er a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers, by demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner. To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable pro?t. To build and maintain e?ective business relationships with overseas correspondents, exchanging information, undertaking joint business and supporting sales visits to and from them in order to develop sales. Provide accurate information to internal operations sta? in order that all relevant administration can be completed e?ciently. Work with Line Managers to promote speci?c markets and generate business, through a co-ordinated programme of targeted joint calls. Responsible for current developments in the market and information on competitors. Responsible for using the sales system to record all required information and for ensuring that all documentation, records and systems are accurate.
