The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established, specialist transport and logistics provider operating a nationwide fleet and delivering high-value, sensitive equipment across the UK.

The Role

  • This is a fast-paced, hands-on position at the heart of the transport function, combining route planning, driver supervision, and real-time problem solving.
  • Planning vehicle routes, collections, and trunking to maximise efficiency and service levels.
  • Managing workloads via the TMS and coordinating with customer service teams.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for operational issues and resolving challenges in real time.
  • Ensuring all vehicles are dispatched on time, prioritising deliveries where needed.
  • Supporting warehouse operations to ensure effective vehicle loading and capacity.
  • Managing driver communications, timesheets, and holidays.
  • Promoting compliance, health & safety, and operational standards.
  • Supporting wider management across transport and warehouse functions.

About You

  • You will be an experienced transport professional who thrives in a live, operational environment.
  • Previous experience in a transport planning or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and influence drivers.
  • Confident working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Good geographical knowledge and understanding of transport compliance (tachographs / O-licence).
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Positive, proactive approach with a team-focused mindset.
  • FLT (Counterbalance) licence - desirable but not essential.
