Position: Air Freight Import Operator Location: Hayes Hours: 4 on 4 off – 7am-7pm Salary: Up to £32,000 DEO We are recruiting for an Air Freight Import Operator for our client based in Hayes. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Air Import operations and have a strong customs background, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods from origin to destination. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top class customer satisfaction. This role is about 80% customs, so the ideal candidate will have to be comfortable with a high volume of clearances. Your key responsibilities as an Air Freight Import Operator: Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via air freight Booking with Origin/Destination Customs clearance formalities – essential Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients Job invoicing and costing Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, air waybills, customs declarations and invoices Prepare and submit customs clearances Ensure compliance with international sipping regulations. Maintain accurate records Collaborate with internal teams to optimise air freight processes and improve service deliveryRequirements: A minimum of 2 years experience with a UK freight forwarder in air freight Extensive customs experience – ESSENTIAL!
