Shipping and Container Operations Supervisor\\n\\nLocation: Southampton\\n\\nSalary: £35,000 – £45,000pa (DOE)\\n\\nAre you an experienced Operations Supervisor or Team Lead with a background in Container Operations for a UK based Shipping Line? Are you looking to advance your career for an established and highly regarded Global Logistics Company? This role could be excellent for you!\\n\\nWorking Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 17:30pm)\\n\\nPackage Benefits:\\n\\nBonus Scheme\\n\\nPrivate Medical Scheme\\n\\nPension – 13% after 2 years\\n\\nIncome Protection\\n\\nLife Assurance\\n\\n25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays\\n\\nExcellent training programme.\\n\\nOpportunities and encouragement for progression within the company.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nSupervise and support the team, ensuring engagement, training, and effective workload distribution.\\n\\nOversee import/export operations, cargo documentation (CNS/Destin8), manifests, and port clearance.\\n\\nAct as primary liaison with vessel agencies, stevedores, and port staff; attend vessels on arrival to resolve issues and ensure compliance.\\n\\nMonitor vessel turnaround, resources, and communications; flag risks or delays to stakeholders.\\n\\nDrive operational efficiency, control costs, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance (including dangerous goods).\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\nExperience in maritime, shipping line, port agency, or logistics operations\\n\\nPrevious supervisory/team lead/management exposure.\\n\\nWorking knowledge of CNS, Destin8, or equivalent cargo documentation systems.\\n\\nAbility to thrive in a busy work environment.\\n\\nWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
