We\’re hiring for a Multimodal Freight Coordinator to join our client\’s thriving team in Seaham, offering a hybrid working model and a competitive salary of up to £30,000.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will oversee the full cycle of shipments across road, ocean, and airfreight. You\’ll be responsible for coordinating international and domestic freight movements while ensuring smooth communication with customers, hauliers, overseas partners, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities of a Multimodal Freight Coordinator:

  • Take ownership of freight bookings across road, sea, and air – handling both imports and exports

  • Communicate with carriers, transport providers, and global partners to arrange and monitor shipments

  • Process customs declarations for inbound and outbound goods using internal freight systems

  • Generate and manage essential shipping paperwork such as delivery notes, invoices, airway bills, and bills of lading

  • Proactively monitor consignments, keeping customers fully informed on progress and addressing any issues quickly

  • Ensure files are maintained to a high standard with accurate costing, documentation, and invoicing
