Junior Air Freight Import Operator – Heathrow Salary: £27,000 (Negotiable depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm It is essential that you have prior experience working for a UK-based freight forwarder. We are currently recruiting for a Junior Air Freight Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding company based near Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in international logistics, with hands-on training and support provided. Key Responsibilities: Assist with handling air freight import shipments from start to finish Liaise with airlines, handling agents, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of cargo Prepare and process import documentation including AWBs, customs entries, and delivery notes Track and trace shipments, updating customers and handling any service issues Support the customs clearance process, working alongside experienced operators Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements Requirements: Some prior experience working for a UK-based freight forwarder is essential Strong communication and organisational skills Eagerness to learn and develop within the freight forwarding industry Good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team Basic understanding of customs procedures would be a bonus What We Offer: A starting salary around £27,000 (negotiable depending on experience) Full training and development opportunities Friendly, supportive team environment Long-term career progression within international freight forwarding WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
