A well-established M&E building services contractor with over three decades of trading experience is looking to appoint an Air Conditioning Technical Manager to strengthen its senior technical function. The business delivers air conditioning and HVAC services across commercial environments, including education, healthcare, manufacturing, warehousing, and public-sector buildings.

The Role

As Air Conditioning Technical Manager, you will act as the technical authority across all air conditioning service and project activities. This is a senior, hands-on role combining leadership, complex technical problem-solving, and strategic input into how HVAC services are delivered across the business. You will lead and support service and installation engineers, act as the senior technical escalation point for AC systems, and drive compliance, quality, and best practices. The role also includes providing technical input into tenders and quotations, overseeing RAMS, and supporting commissioning and small installation projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial air conditioning
  • F-Gas Category 1
  • Strong VRF/VRV experience
  • Knowledge of chillers, AHUs, and split systems
  • Proven experience supervising engineers
  • Strong fault-finding and commissioning capability
  • Full UK driving licence

Package

Salary up to £57,500 (dependent on experience) 32 days holiday (including)
