A specialist mechanical contractor delivering high-spec ventilation and air movement solutions into healthcare, life sciences and research environments is seeking a Project Manager due to sustained growth.
You will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical and ventilation-led projects, typically ranging from £100k to £5m. Projects are technically complex, often involving critical environments such as operating theatres, containment laboratories and cleanrooms.
Scope includes:
- End-to-end project management from pre-construction through to handover
- Managing HVAC packages including AHUs, ductwork, filtration systems and associated controls
- Coordinating design & build elements with internal teams and external consultants
- Overseeing programme, cost control, subcontractor management and site delivery
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare and cleanroom standards (HTM, ISO classifications, etc.)
- Client-facing role working with NHS, private healthcare and research organisations
- Projects are UK-wide, with a bias towards the North-West. Travel is required, with flexibility on base location.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an M&E / HVAC contracting environment
- Proven track record delivering mechanical or ventilation projects
- Experience in healthcare, cleanroom, pharmaceutical or laboratory environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems (AHUs, ductwork, filtration, pressure regimes)
- HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent experience)
- Strong commercial awareness and programme management capability
