An established HVAC contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to support ongoing commercial HVAC projects. The role is focused on full mechanical HVAC design, supporting projects from survey and technical calculation stage through to equipment selection and drawing coordination.

You will be involved in:

  • Heating and cooling load calculations
  • Duct sizing
  • Pipe sizing
  • Plant selection across systems including VRV/VRF, boilers, AHUs and associated mechanical services equipment

This opportunity would suit a mechanically biased HVAC engineer with strong technical design capability looking to join a long-standing and well-established contractor environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience within mechanical HVAC or building services design
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and plant selection
  • Experience carrying out heating and cooling load calculations
  • Knowledge of duct sizing and pipe sizing calculations
  • Experience working with VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and boilers
  • Good communication and organisational skills
