We're recruiting a Head of Projects for a growing specialist HVAC & Mechanical contractor delivering commercial air conditioning and ventilation projects across The North West. This is a senior position taking responsibility for the entire projects function, managing Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and profitably.
The Role
- Lead and develop the Projects team
- Oversee multiple HVAC projects from handover through to completion
- Manage Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors
- Review project programmes, budgets and margins
- Oversee procurement and resource planning
- Manage variations and additional works
- Maintain relationships with key clients
- Resolve technical and commercial project issues
- Ensure installations meet required quality and H&S standards
- Report project performance to the Directors
- Improve project processes as the business grows
The Candidate
- Strong background in HVAC / air conditioning contracting
- Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager or Projects Manager experience
- Experience managing multiple projects and project teams
- Strong knowledge of AC, VRF/VRV and ventilation systems
- Commercially strong with experience managing project margins
- Excellent client and subcontractor management skills
- Strong leadership and organisational ability
