We're recruiting a CAD Technician for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester. This role will support the design and project teams by producing accurate technical drawings for commercial air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical building services projects.

The Role

  • Produce 2D CAD drawings for HVAC and mechanical projects
  • Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare layouts, schematics and installation drawings
  • Work from consultant drawings, surveys and project specifications
  • Support design engineers and project managers with technical drawing requirements
  • Assist with coordination of mechanical services
  • Maintain drawing registers and document control
  • Produce as-built drawings and project handover information
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, clear and issued on time

The Candidate

  • Experience as a CAD Technician / Draughtsperson
  • Background in HVAC, mechanical or building services
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Revit experience would be an advantage
  • Mechanical or Building Services qualification desirable
