A well-established specialist Air Conditioning and ventilation contractor based in London is recruiting a Pre-Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all pre-contract activities, ensuring projects are accurately scoped, costed and prepared for seamless handover to project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tendering activity: prepare and issue subcontractor tender packs, collect quotations, and review tender-stage bids.
- Organise and maintain all tender and pre-construction documentation for the Project Manager review.
- Build CVR (Cost vs Revenue) sheets and application sheets for upcoming projects.
- Prepare complete pre-start packs and lead in-depth pre-start meetings with Project Managers.
- Produce initial draft RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) for PMs to refine into site-specific versions.
- Support quality control processes and assist with commissioning documentation.
- Compile commissioning data, O&M manuals, technical submissions (Tech Subs) and handover documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in pre-construction, estimating or project coordination within HVAC, ventilation, M&E or building services.
- Strong documentation, organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and pre-construction workflows simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Good technical understanding of HVAC/ventilation systems is beneficial (but not essential if coming from an M&E background).
Package
- Salary: Approximately £45,000-£55,000
- Holidays: 28 days, including bank holidays
