An established HVAC engineering business is looking to appoint a CAD Design Engineer to support ongoing project and manufacturing activity within its specialist mechanical division. The role involves producing detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings and technical documentation using SolidWorks, supporting the delivery of bespoke HVAC, ventilation and mechanical systems.
Working closely with engineering, production and project teams, you will assist with design development, drawing amendments and manufacturing coordination across a varied project workload. This is a technically focused position suited to a mechanically minded CAD professional with experience within HVAC, ductwork or fabricated mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Previous experience using SolidWorks within a mechanical or HVAC environment
- Strong CAD and technical drawing capability
- Experience producing fabrication or manufacturing drawings
- Understanding of HVAC, ventilation, ductwork or mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing requirements
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
