My client is currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Electrical Estimator to join their growing team based in Trim, Co. Meath, with involvement across a range of large-scale projects nationally and internationally. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive contractor delivering projects across high-growth sectors including data centres, life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and power infrastructure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the full tendering lifecycle, supporting the delivery of accurate and competitive estimates across complex electrical projects.
The Role
- Tendering on a variety of large-scale national and international projects including data centres, life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceutical projects
- Manage the full tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission
- Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and related documentation
- Review tender information and prepare tender queries and value engineering alternatives
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and interviews
- Coordinate and interface with internal departments to ensure timely tender submissions
- Support project handover meetings with operations teams following successful awards
- Work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative estimating team
- Maintain strong commercial awareness throughout all tendering activities
Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification
- Minimum 2+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally within an electrical contracting environment
- Previous experience in electrical estimating is essential
- Instrumentation and/or BMS experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines
- Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
