A specialist engineering business delivering bespoke HVAC and packaged plant systems is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to support ongoing project growth within the energy, marine and industrial sectors. The role involves the electrical design and integration of engineered systems, working closely with mechanical and project teams to deliver complete packaged solutions from concept through to commissioning. Projects include ventilation, pressurisation and HVAC systems for demanding industrial and hazardous environments, with a strong focus on control systems, panel design and electrical schematics. This is a technically focused office-based role suited to an engineer with experience within industrial HVAC, controls or packaged plant environments.

Requirements

  • Experience in electrical design within HVAC, packaged plant or industrial engineering environments
  • Strong background in control panel design and electrical schematics
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar software
  • Understanding of HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers and ventilation systems
  • Exposure to controls and PLC systems advantageous
  • Knowledge of relevant BS / IEC electrical standards
  • Hazardous area or ATEX experience beneficial but not essential
  • Strong technical and organisational skills

Package

  • Salary £35,000-£50,000 depending on experience
  • Company pension scheme
