Due to retirement, my client is looking to bring on a Mechanical Estimator to join their 20 year old M&E business. You will work alongside an electrical estimator to complete tenders for the business as a key component to the ongoing success of the company.

Requirements: This is suitable for both existing estimators or candidates with experience of estimating who are looking to pursue the estimating profession full time. I.e. a mechanical engineer, project manager, project engineer or similar who estimates as part of their role.

Package:

  • Salary £50,000 to £60,000 depending on the level of experience
  • Car or allowance of circa £6,000
  • Hybrid working
  • Private healthcare
  • 8% pension

Role:

  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to produce competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy of estimates.
