We are recruiting a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function for a well-established manufacturing business based in East London. This is a hands-on role combining financial control, reporting, and commercial support, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, accuracy, and informed decision-making. The role would suit a commercially minded finance professional with experience in manufacturing or engineering-led environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
- Oversee financial controls, ledgers, and cashflow management
- Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances
- Support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis
- Manage payroll, VAT, and statutory reporting
- Work with auditors, accountants, and external advisors
- Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy
- Partner with operational teams to support production and commercial decisions
Skills & Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and production finance
- Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills
- ERP or accounting system experience
- Commercial mindset with strong communication skills
