I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Operations Supervisor with excellent knowledge of UK road freight and strong leadership skills to join my client's dynamic team in Glasgow. This role requires strong knowledge of UK roads/haulage and commercial awareness as well as previous experience leading a team.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8-4:30 (occasional on-call)
Salary: Up to £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising daily road freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries across the UK
- Managing existing business & generating new business
- Leading the team
- Liaising with customers and drivers regarding potential delays and providing updated estimates
- Ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and company policies
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK road/haulage
- Experience working for a UK based transport/logistics company
- Commercial awareness
- Previous leadership experience
- Organised and able to work on own initiative
