Junior Buyer Douglas & Grahame Ltd, t/a REMUS UOMO, 1880 Club et al. Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim Our team is expanding! We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the team on a full time basis. The Company An independent fashion house boasting 100 years heritage, Douglas & Grahames Brand portfolio includes leading menswear brands REMUS UOMO, Douglas, DGs Drifter and Daniel Grahame as well as best-in-class schoolwear brand 1880 CLUB. With the companys long established strength and success rooted in an unmatched commitment to product quality and exceptional customer service across all channels, Douglas & Grahames future vision is now focussed on connected retail, and the creation of a seamless experience for customers engaging with each of its brands across all offline and online touch points. Leveraging new technologies to bring leading-edge digital environments to the shop floor, enhancing customer experience and customer service in the fulfilment of an omni-channel sales strategy. The organisations entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe. The Role As a Junior Buyer, you will be involved in the development and delivery of commercial collections for one of the companys product categories. You will play an integral part in the full product lifecycle, from initial sampling through to bulk production, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with Brand DNA, and that the appropriate Quality standard is achieved and maintained. You will be involved in the creation of comprehensive seasonal range plans, leveraging extensive sales analysis, as well as trend and market research. You will be involved in the sourcing of fabrics, trims and accessories, play an integral part in the product development process, and be a key liaison with an international supply base. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, with a strong eye for fashion. The role will require the successful candidate to have: – Previous experience in a buying role is desirable. – Previous experience of preparing and planning a garment collection is desirable. – Experience of sourcing and selection of fabric, trims and accessories is desirable. – Excellent IT ability is essential. Strong capability with MS Office packages is desirable. – University level qualification is essential. – A full driving licence, valid passport and the willingness to travel when required is essential.
