Antrim Our clients team is expanding! They are looking for a Design & Buying Assistant to join the team on a full time basis.
The Company An independent fashion house boasting 100 years heritage, our clients brand portfolio includes leading menswear brands as well as a best-in-class schoolwear brand.

Leveraging new technologies to bring leading-edge digital environments to the shop floor, enhancing customer experience and customer service in the fulfilment of an omni-channel sales strategy.
The organisations entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe.
The Role As a Design & Buying Assistant, you will support the full product lifecycle from trend research and range planning, through the various stages of sampling through to bulk production.
You will support the creation of seasonal collections for the companys portfolio of brands, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with Brand DNA, and that the appropriate quality standard is achieved and maintained.
You will be involved in the creation of comprehensive seasonal range plans, leveraging extensive sales analysis, as well as trend and market research.
You will be involved in the sourcing of fabrics, trims and accessories, be heavily involved in the product development process, and be a key liaison with an international supply base.
The role will require the successful candidate to have:
– Previous experience in the fashion/textile industry is desirable.
– Excellent IT ability is essential.
– Competent CAD skills are desirable.
– University level qualification is essential.
– A full driving licence, valid passport and the willingness to travel when required is essential.
