We are working with a busy, successful sub-contract engineering company that is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their precision manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work on modern machinery in a supportive environment with great benefits.
The Role:
- Set and operate CNC Star Sliding Head Lathes to produce high-precision batch components.
- Work to tight tolerances, producing quantities from 50 up to thousands of parts.
- Operate and set machines using Fanuc controls.
- Produce components from a variety of general engineering and exotic materials.
- Work on new and up-to-date machinery.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC Fixed or Sliding Head Lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Previous experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Programming experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Self-motivated, dedicated, and able to work under own initiative.
Benefits:
- 200 hours (23 days) holiday per year + statutory holidays, plus additional holiday every 3 years of service.
- 4-day week: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm.
- Yearly appraisals and onsite parking.
