I am supporting a fresh produce business in seeking a detail-focused Technical Compliance Officer to help ensure the delivery of safe, legal, and high-quality products. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving food safety and compliance standards across site operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legal standards (e.g. BRCGS, GlobalG.A.P., customer specifications)
- Lead internal audits and drive continuous improvement
- Manage non-conformances and corrective actions, including root cause analysis
- Support food safety systems, HACCP processes, and technical projects
- Maintain high hygiene standards across operations
- Oversee accurate record-keeping and KPI reporting
- Supervise a small team and support staff training
- Assist with pest control coordination and site compliance activities
About you:
- Experience in technical compliance within food or fresh produce
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and auditing
- HACCP Level 2 (or higher) and Food Safety Level 2 (or higher) preferred
- Confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
