Are you a Service Engineer with experience in CHP, gas engines and controls looking for a new opportunity with a specialist power-generation business? Our client is a well-established engineering company specialising in the service, maintenance, repair and overhaul of CHP and gas-engine systems across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join their field-based team.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing CHP and gas-engine systems at customer sites.
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing of CHP/gas engines.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.
- PLC and control-system fault finding.
- Commissioning and testing equipment.
- Engine overhauls and component replacement.
- Responding to breakdowns and providing technical support.
- Working with customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a background in CHP, gas engines, power generation or industrial equipment, ideally with strong controls experience. You could be a good fit if you have experience with:
- CHP / Combined Heat & Power systems.
- Gas engines - Jenbacher, MWM, MAN, Guascor, CAT, MTU, Perkins, 2G or similar.
- PLCs and control systems.
- Electrical fault finding.
- Commissioning and servicing.
- Engine rebuilds / overhauls.
- Industrial instrumentation and control systems.
