I am looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and control across complex engineering projects within a regulated environment. You will ensure products, suppliers, and processes meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, nuclear quality standards, and customer requirements
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections, and surveillance activities
- Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Maintain quality documentation, traceability, and manufacturing records
- Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring
- Participate in FAT/SAT activities and oversee fabrication, welding, and inspection processes
- Promote continuous improvement and a strong quality and safety culture
About You
Essential:
- ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in QA/QC or QHSE
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulated industry standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Auditor training (ISO Lead Auditor preferred)
- Certified Weld Inspector (PCN / CSWIP or equivalent)
- Experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated sectors
- Membership or working towards Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
