We are looking for an Automation Engineer to drive the design, delivery, and optimisation of our automated systems. In this role, you will work closely with production and maintenance teams, lead automation upgrades, and ensure our systems run safely, smoothly, and in full compliance with standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the delivery of electrical and automation projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Deliver cost savings and process improvements through projects driven by operational loss data.
- Specify electrical, control, and automation requirements for process improvements and upgrades.
- Create and modify PLC/SCADA/HMI to support process changes.
- Assist in the commissioning of new processes, equipment, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and low-voltage electrical control circuits.
- Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Inspect installations against design documentation and engineering standards.
Skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLCs.
- Experience working with SCADA/HMI systems, including monitoring and fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
