We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join an established engineering business supporting customers across the North West and Midlands region. Covering an area from Leeds through to Nottingham, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of advanced sheet metal processing and automated manufacturing equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased or multi-skilled engineer looking to join a well-established organisation offering strong earning potential through overtime and ongoing technical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Fault find and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Install and commission new machinery at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers where required.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
  • Work independently to manage your territory and service schedule.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience servicing complex manufacturing or automated machinery.
  • Background working with CNC machinery, sheet metal processing equipment, press brakes, panel benders, punching machines, laser cutting systems, automated handling systems, or similar capital equipment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
