A leading engineering business within the security and access control sector is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth across the UK. The role focuses on the sale of engineered security solutions into commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and high-security environments.
This is a hybrid technical/commercial position, ideal for someone who understands engineered systems and enjoys developing long-term client relationships across complex project-led sales cycles.
The Role- Develop new business opportunities within security engineering and access control markets
- Manage and grow existing accounts across contractors, end users, and consultants
- Sell engineered solutions including access control systems, door automation, integrated security, and bespoke perimeter/security installations
- Conduct site visits, technical surveys, and client consultations
- Work closely with design and engineering teams to develop compliant, tailored solutions
- Produce quotations, tender responses, and project proposals
- Support projects from enquiry through to installation and handover
- Attend site meetings, industry events, and contractor engagements
- Background in technical sales, ideally within security systems, access control, electrical engineering, or building services
- Strong understanding of engineered or project-based solutions
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand installation requirements (desirable)
- Experience managing contractors, consultants, or end-user relationships
- Strong communication, negotiation, and account development skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a field-based territory
- Full UK driving licence
- £40,000-£45,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission structure
