We are recruiting a Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly to support the launch of a new automotive assembly operation. This role offers a unique opportunity to embed quality into processes from day one, working in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain quality control processes in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
- Conduct audits and inspections of assembly operations
- Monitor quality KPIs including scrap, defects, and customer complaints
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support new product launches and engineering changes (APQP)
- Maintain quality documentation (Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP)
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams on quality issues
- Train production staff on quality standards and best practices
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive quality engineering
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 auditing standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- ASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma Green Belt
- Supplier quality or automotive assembly experience
