An established commercial vehicle dealer is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop in Shoreham-by-Sea.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of heavy commercial vehicles, using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and associated components
- Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems
- Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph-related checks
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and to manufacturer standards
- Carry out final quality checks on completed repairs
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Relevant technical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
- Own toolkit
