Senior Buyer – £45-60k + Benefits
A leading manufacturer in the oil, gas, and precision engineering sector is looking for a Senior Buyer to take charge of sourcing critical components from global suppliers. This is a high-impact role where your ability to negotiate hard, build resilient supply chains, and reduce costs will directly shape business performance.
You\’ll lead the procurement of precision-machined parts, working across international markets to secure the best value while maintaining quality and delivery standards. This role offers real autonomy and the chance to influence long-term procurement strategy without corporate red tape.
What you\’ll need:
– Strong, proven negotiation skills
– International procurement experience – particularly across Asia, Europe, or North America
– Solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems
– Experience sourcing precision-machined components
– Based within 40 minutes of Knutsford and open to occasional overseas travel
Desirable:
– A degree in engineering, supply chain or similar
– Experience in oil & gas, valves, or exotic materials
