An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Buildings Technician to join a busy facility and building services team supporting a specialist technical environment. This is a varied, hands-on role combining facilities maintenance, building services, technical support, contractor coordination, and project work. You will play a key role in ensuring buildings, equipment, and essential services are maintained safely and efficiently while supporting the day-to-day operation of the site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across buildings and facilities.
  • Maintain and repair building fabric including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and general repairs.
  • Support refurbishment, fit-out, and improvement projects.
  • Install, modify, and relocate furniture, equipment, and building services.
  • Assist with mechanical systems including compressed air, gas, water, ventilation, extraction, and vacuum systems.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and relocation of specialist equipment.
  • Monitor and coordinate contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Support fire safety, security systems, and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation, and stock levels.
  • Assist with waste management and environmental compliance activities.
