I am looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and control across complex engineering projects within a regulated environment. You will ensure products, suppliers, and processes meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, nuclear quality standards, and customer requirements
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections, and surveillance activities
  • Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain quality documentation, traceability, and manufacturing records
  • Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring
  • Participate in FAT/SAT activities and oversee fabrication, welding, and inspection processes
  • Promote continuous improvement and a strong quality and safety culture

About You

Essential:

  • ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in QA/QC or QHSE
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulated industry standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Auditor training (ISO Lead Auditor preferred)
  • Certified Weld Inspector (PCN / CSWIP or equivalent)
  • Experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated sectors
  • Membership or working towards Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
