Project Engineer – Material Handling / Automation

Project Engineer / Project Manager sought to join a leading provider of configurable robotic solutions & bespoke factory automation systems. A project background in special purpose machinery, packaging machinery, food processing machinery, materials handling equipment, machine tools or automation / automated machinery would be ideal. You must already live in the Birmingham area.

A solid project management background in engineering or manufacturing is essential. Your project management background may be in special purpose machinery or a sector such as medical, automotive or the food industry as these are the sectors the company works.

The Role

• The purpose is to manage projects from scoping & specification with customer, design phase, equipment build, testing, installation and hand over – you should therefore have experience of this nature.
• You will manage project budgets ranging from £50k-£2m
• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring customer’s orders, are designed, built, and delivered on time, within budget, to meet the customer’s high expectations.
• Plan, organize and manage customer meetings and design reviews.
• Generate project budget
• Be fully involved in the machine-building phase
• Retain project ownership beyond the delivery phase into the warranty and after-sales phase.

The Package

• Salary £40K-47K
• 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday & 08:00 – 13:30 Friday
• 25 days holiday plus statutory days
