Are you ready to take the lead on some of the most challenging and rewarding engineering projects in the nuclear sector? I am looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer / EC&I Engineer to champion the delivery of complex machine design and build projects, guiding them from concept through to manufacture, testing and successful client handover. In this pivotal role, you will head up multi-disciplinary teams, manage the electrical engineering scope of major projects, and ensure designs meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and innovation. Working closely with internal engineering specialists, project teams, and a network of trusted subcontractors, you will play a major part in delivering solutions that matter.
The Role
- Leading the electrical and EC&I elements of major engineering projects.
- Ensuring outsourced EC&I work meets specification.
- Collaborating with design engineers to develop solutions that integrate seamlessly.
- Reviewing drawings, documentation and design outputs from subcontractors and internal teams.
- Supporting factory acceptance testing and contributing to project sign-off.
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Providing technical input for tenders.
- Supporting the development of future engineering talent through internship and apprenticeship programmes.

- Strong electrical engineering background with experience delivering multi-discipline engineering projects.
- Confidence leading technical scope and reviewing electrical/EC&I designs.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a regulated, fast-paced engineering environment.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas when required.
