An established engineering manufacturer specialising in bespoke sheet metal fabrication and industrial ductwork is looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator to join its workshop team in Bury.
Working from a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility, you will produce fully welded ductwork, bespoke fabrications and structural components for demanding industrial environments. The facility includes CNC press brakes, HD plasma cutting, rollers, MIG/TIG welding equipment and automated seam welding technology.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
- Manufacture fully welded ductwork, structural components and bespoke fabrications
- Work with thin plate materials and heavier structural steel
- Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
- Cut, grind, drill, form and prepare materials for welding
- Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality
- Work safely while maintaining high workshop and housekeeping standards
- Support production targets and continuous improvement activities
- Previous experience as a MIG/TIG Welder, Fabricator or Sheet Metal Worker
- Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel
- Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings
- Strong fabrication skills
