An established lifting equipment business is looking for an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join its growing service team. This is a field-based role, working across customer sites to service, inspect, repair, install and commission overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.
The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete inspections and testing in line with LOLER and PUWER
- Support installation, commissioning, refurbishment and modernisation work
- Work on components including motors, brakes, gearboxes, PLCs, control systems and hydraulics
- Complete service reports and maintain a professional approach on site
Requirements:
- Based within 1 hour of Kent
- Experience as an Overhead Crane Engineer, Crane Service Engineer, Lifting Equipment Engineer or similar
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, hoists or lifting equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations
- Full UK driving licence
Package:
- £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
