Location: Manchester/Midlands

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience

My client is looking for a CNC Service Engineer to join their team. They work as the UK partner for leading machine tool brands, supplying equipment such as vertical lathes, double-column mills, and universal bedmills. Their engineers are central to delivering, installing, and supporting high-end machining solutions across industries including aerospace, nuclear, automotive, and energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new CNC machine tools at customer sites
  • Commissioning, testing, and optimisation of machines
  • Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair
  • Providing customer support, operator training, and applications advice

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with CNC machine tools
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenhain control systems
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Previous experience in a field service or maintenance role
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
