We are recruiting for a Day Maintenance Engineer to join a tier-one packaging manufacturer within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on maintaining production machinery, improving machine efficiency, supporting TPM activities and ensuring site equipment is repaired and serviced to a high standard.

The successful candidate will work as part of the engineering team, carrying out fault finding, planned maintenance, repairs and improvement work across machinery, ancillary equipment and site services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, repair and maintain production machinery and ancillary equipment
  • Support TPM and planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Hydraulic fault finding and repair
  • Assist with planning service schedules, spare parts and maintenance preparation
  • Improve machine efficiency and OEE
  • Install, fit, repair and service new machinery when required
  • Support site services, including compressors, chillers, fire detection and sprinkler systems
  • Work to health & safety, quality, housekeeping and hygiene standards
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND in Engineering preferred
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Blow moulding or injection moulding experience would be advantageous
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Electrical installation experience, 18th Edition advantageous
  • Some working knowledge of PLCs and HMI control systems
  • Ability to read and work from electrical engineering drawings
