I am seeking a detail-driven Quality Technician to support the Quality and Engineering teams of a global manufacturer based in Knutsford. The ideal candidate will be confident working with material certifications, suppliers and internal departments to ensure full compliance with company and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries.
- Conduct witness testing at test houses.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in 2nd/3rd party audits.
- Compile monthly QA reports and KPIs.
- Provide QA input for Change Management requests.
- Support customer return investigations using tools such as 8D.
- Support supplier performance reviews, audits and corrective action follow-ups.
- Monitor performance of new or re-sourced parts.
- Maintain quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
- Investigate product/process failures and implement corrective actions (8D, 5Y).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.
- Knowledge of quality testing methods and material standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to analyse data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, API and quality methodologies.
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
