I am seeking a Mechatronics Engineer with strong programming and automation experience to drive in-house digital transformation initiatives. This hands-on role focuses on developing, programming, and implementing Industry 4.0 technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost reduction across the business - from R&D through to manufacturing and testing. You will work closely with R&D to develop and qualify products, using PLC programming and automated test systems to support advanced product testing and performance validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a CAPEX-based automation or digitalisation project within your first year.
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC-controlled automated testing systems.
- Provide programming support for existing R&D and test infrastructure.
- Ensure accurate population of test documentation, procedures, and performance reports.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree-qualified in Mechatronics Engineering (or similar).
- Strong programming experience, ideally with PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent).
- Experience developing or modifying automated test systems.
- Practical, hands-on experience in a workshop or industrial environment.
- Exposure to SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Ability to troubleshoot software, electrical, and mechanical systems in an integrated environment.
