The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an Account Manager to join a well-established and growing Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM/EMS) business. This is a commercially focused role responsible for managing and developing key customer accounts while also identifying opportunities for organic growth within existing relationships. You will operate in a highly technical environment, working closely with OEMs, procurement teams, and engineering stakeholders to deliver tailored electronics manufacturing solutions including PCB assembly and full turnkey services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing key accounts within the CEM/EMS sector
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, procurement, and engineering stakeholders
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing customers
- Manage the full account lifecycle, from relationship development through to contract renewal and expansion
- Work closely with internal engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction
- Produce accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and account plans
- Attend client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions across the UK
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Account Management or Business Development role within the EMS/CEM industry (essential)
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and supply chains
- Experience with PCB assembly (PCBA) and/or turnkey electronics manufacturing highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing key accounts
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel nationally
