We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Designer to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering architectural metal and glass solutions across the UK. The role involves taking ownership of design packages from concept through to manufacture and site installation, producing detailed technical drawings and ensuring full compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and coordination of balustrades, balconies, staircases, access systems, external flooring, and bespoke metalwork
- Production of detailed technical, construction, and fabrication drawings
- Collaboration with clients, project teams, fabrication, and installation teams
- Identification and management of design and installation risks
- Support of technical submissions, RFIs, and design reviews
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer within architectural metalwork, glass, façade, or similar sectors
- Strong 2D and 3D design software skills
- Good understanding of compliance, safety standards, and fire remediation
- Knowledge of installation processes and buildability
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
