We are working on behalf of a well-established specialist contractor and manufacturer of industrial flooring and surfacing systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to drive new business and manage existing client relationships across the East Midlands. This role suits a technically minded sales professional who enjoys site-based work, project involvement, and building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an established client portfolio within a defined territory
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Carry out site visits to understand project requirements and propose tailored solutions
  • Prepare and follow up technical quotations and proposals
  • Liaise with internal teams to support project delivery
  • Assist with RAMS and installation handovers
  • Maintain accurate sales and project records

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales or sales engineering
  • Proven ability to win new business and manage client relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MUST HAVE: Experience supplying or installing flooring systems, resin coatings, cladding, decking, or prefabricated construction materials

Desirable:

  • Background in construction or civil engineering
  • Experience working with contractors, facilities managers, or industrial clients
