We are searching for an experienced Fanuc CNC Programmer. My client is a well-established supplier of CNC machine tools and robot automation cells, selling to manufacturing businesses throughout the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in CNC programming and be available to stay away during the week as required. Experience in robot programming is desirable but not essential - we are looking for someone eager to learn and develop automation skills on the job.
Responsibilities:
- The role is project-based requiring working away during the week on customer sites in the UK and Ireland. Potentially 2-3 weeks in a row, home at weekends.
- To set and program CNC machines and industrial robots within the factory for factory acceptance testing.
- Customer witness testing and training.
- Set up automation cells at customer sites and conduct on-site customer acceptance testing.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing performance. Training will be provided as required on Robot programming, PLC programming, and automation software development.
Requirements:
- Available to stay away Monday to Friday as required.
- Fanuc programming experience is essential.
- Siemens or Heidenhain experience is beneficial.
- A time-served engineer with at least 5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer, turning and milling machine tools applications.
- A qualified engineer with a recognised apprenticeship.
- Driving license with no more than 3 points.
Package:
- Salary up to £50K.
- Hybrid company car, fuel card, company credit card.
- 25 days holiday + BH.

- Overnight bonus after 4 nights per calendar month.
