We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician to join a growing engineering team. This role covers the full lifecycle of installation and commissioning, ensuring all solutions meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
You will work independently and as part of a wider project team, supporting the delivery of site-based control systems for key clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and support site-based control systems and equipment
- Carry out site surveys prior to installation and commissioning activities
- Support commissioning documentation and project handover within agreed timescales and quality standards
- Work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and client asset operations teams to ensure full system integration
- Work in line with approved designs, equipment specifications, and configuration templates
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety standards during all installation and commissioning activities
- Comply with quality standards, industry best practices, and customer requirements
- Maintain strong customer communication, providing regular updates to clients and project managers
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in installation and commissioning roles
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Understanding of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and HMI systems
- Experience configuring and testing manufacturer equipment
- Ability to work with remote configuration and commissioning engineers
- CSCS or ECS card
