CNC Operator (No Previous Experience Necessary!)

Role: CNC Machinist Location: Bristol Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience Hours: 07:30 – 16:45 Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 12:30 Friday. with potential for overtime Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist / Operator / Programmer to join their manufacturing team. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating FANUC controlled CNC machines, using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software to produce high-precision components. This is a hands-on role covering the full machining process-from interpreting engineering drawings through to producing finished, quality-assured parts. CNC Programming Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software Interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D models Generate tool paths for CNC milling and/or turning Post-process programs for FANUC controlled machines Machine Setup & Operation Set up CNC machines including tooling, fixtures, and offsets Load and verify CNC programs Operate CNC machines during production runs Troubleshoot machining, programming, and tooling issues Quality & Documentation Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring tools Complete setup sheets, program notes, and inspection records Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering / CNC Machining OR strong industry experience Proven experience with FANUC CNC machines Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software Experience with 4- or 5-axis machining Background in aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, or precision engineering WR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
