Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist / Operator / Programmer to join their manufacturing team. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating FANUC controlled CNC machines, using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software to produce high-precision components.
This is a hands-on role covering the full machining process - from interpreting engineering drawings through to producing finished, quality-assured parts.
- CNC Programming
- Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
- Interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D models
- Generate tool paths for CNC milling and/or turning
- Post-process programs for FANUC controlled machines
- Set up CNC machines including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
- Load and verify CNC programs
- Operate CNC machines during production runs
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, and tooling issues
- Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Complete setup sheets, program notes, and inspection records
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering / CNC Machining OR strong industry experience
Proven experience with FANUC CNC machines
Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
Experience with 4- or 5-axis machining
Background in aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, or precision engineering
