The Role
You'll play a vital role in supporting the Engineering team, ensuring all systems, glasshouse facilities, and associated equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. Working closely with other departments, you'll help reduce breakdowns, improve processes, and contribute to the long-term performance of our sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and production equipment (including boilers, high-pressure pumps, and gearboxes)
- Diagnose faults quickly and take ownership of repairs and refurbishments
- Proactively identify potential issues before they become problems
- Conduct daily machinery checks and ensure all work is completed safely
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist contractors when required
- Control maintenance tools, stores, and costs
- Support site projects and continuous improvement initiatives
